The Instek SPD-3606 triple-output switching DC power supply unit provides a constant source of DC voltage and current for powering and testing electronic devices. The power supply unit (PSU) has two dual-range outputs that each provide DC voltage from 0 to 30V and current from 0 to 6 amp, or DC voltage from 0 to 60V and current from 0 to 3 amp, with adjustable output. A third output supplies an adjustable voltage between 0.1V and 5VDC and a fixed current of 3 amp. The PSU's high power-conversion efficiency reduces the unit's energy consumption. The PSU simultaneously shows voltage and current readings for each output. The 0 to 30V outputs can be connected in series to supply more voltage, or they can be connected in parallel to supply more current. When in tracking mode, one output can be set to supply a percentage of the voltage of the second output. A built-in cooling fan with three speeds helps prevent overheating. Reverse polarity, overvoltage protection, and an output on/off switch help prevent damage to the PSU and the device under test, and the unit automatically selects between 115V and 230V line voltage.
